Displays and Touch Sensors

With ZeonorFilm optical films, image quality in displays and touch sensors is optimized from all angles. ZeonorFilm exhibits superior light transparency, ultra-low haze and excellent stability in high-temperature/high-humidity environments which are common for mobile devices and displays.

ZeonorFilm is available as isotropic (ultra-low birefringence) and ¼- and ½ -wave retardation films. It improves image quality in displays, from the largest television displays to mobile device screens:

  • Touch sensors

ZeonorFilm enables projected capacitance (PCAP) and On-Glass Sensors (OGS) without the optical compromise of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or the weight of glass.

  • Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays

Using ZeonorFilm enables low-reflectance organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, with improved contrast and black-mode performance.

  • Liquid-crystal displays (LCDs)

ZeonorFilm delivers wider viewing angles with improved stability and color uniformity in liquid-crystal displays (LCD) without the limitations of triacetate (TAC) film.

ZeonorFilm — Behind Every Great Image

The Lowest Haze and Highest Transmittance

ZeonorFilm™ combines glass-like optics with the design freedom and weight benefit of film. Compared with other films, haze is the lowest and transmittance is the highest with ZeonorFilm.

Superior Viewing Angle

ZeonorFilm enables displays with superior viewing angles. Compared with triacetate (TAC), ZeonorFilm shows stable, uniform birefringence even at sharp, oblique viewing angles. The result: a premium viewing experience from any seat.

Flat Wavelength Dispersion

ZeonorFilm optical films show flat, stable birefringence across the visible spectrum from blues to greens and reds. Unlike other films that force designers to compromise on image quality versus color, ZeonorFilm enables uniform color and retardation.

Designed for Mobile Devices and Large-Format TVs

ZeonorFilm shows superior dimensional and optical stability after prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity. It is especially important for mobile devices and large-format TVs to be able to withstand the rigors of heat and humidity exposure without compromise.

Sunglass-Friendly Touch Sensors

ZeonorFilm films enable touch sensors that perform and look great – both with and without polarized sunglasses. Unlike polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which shows strong birefringence (rainbow appearance), ZeonorFilm maintains a premium image when viewed through sunglasses. Additionally, ZeonorFilm ZD series enables dual-orientation (both portrait and landscape modes) viewing by circularly polarizing the light while maintaining cost-efficient roll-to-roll processing.

High Optical ZeonorFilm: dual-orientation mobile display with sunglasses unlike polyethylene terephthalate film.

Low-Reflectance Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) Displays

Retardation film versions of ZeonorFilm reduce the reflection in organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, creating a higher-contrast, premium viewing experience.

ZeonorFilms reduce reflection in organic light-emitting diode displays: higher contrast, high viewing experience.
